Erin Kim, Concerts Coordinator
Erin Kim has been principal cellist of the Dimond High orchestra for four years, the Anchorage Youth Symphony for two years, and the UAA Sinfonia since 2017. She has participated for four years in the Alaska All State Orchestra and the Alaska State Solo and Ensemble Festival and have performed in the 2014 Command Performance and the 2015 All Northwest Orchestra. She currently studies Music Education and Cello Performance at the University of Alaska Anchorage. At UAA she has been the recipient of the Excellence in Music scholarship and the Frank and Carol Pinkerton scholarship. Her teachers include Sue Shim, Kevin Charlestream, Linda Ottum, and Dr. John Lutterman. Outside of UAA, she teaches at the Alaska School of Music and is an assistant at Clay Owen Studios.
Anna Berry, Chamber Intensive Manager
Anna Berry is currently a sophomore at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is working towards a bachelor's degree in music education and runs a private lessons studio. Anna has been playing the piano from a young age, and her recent studies have been in the cello. She loves working with musicians of all ages and looks forward to learning more about music and other people through her involvement in the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival.
Mischa Shimek, Staff Support
Mischa Shimek is a recent graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He obtained his BM in Music Performance and Education with emphasis in Classical Guitar in 2019. Has lived most of his life in Anchorage Alaska. He works as a Music teacher, performer, and works with his father doing work at the Metro Mall. He has also been a composer and arranger for classical guitar. This will be his second year working for the Anchorage Chamber Music Festival.
