Music by Korngold, Dvořák, and Libby Larsen

The absence of the viola is not the only unique feature of this program! Returning guest artist David Fung performs Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Suite for Left Hand Piano written for long-time collaborator Paul Wittgenstein. Dvořák’s Bagatelles, crafted for amateur performance in the home, highlight the composer’s characteristic sense of melodic craftmanship, exuding the folk origins of his native Bohemia. Composer Libby Larsen joins in on the program in a breakneck celebration of American music and American musicians, inspired by boogie-woogie and jazzing its way to an uproarious conclusion. 

House concerts are kindly hosted by members of the Anchorage community in their own homes. Venue address will be provided to patrons one week prior to the concert.
